What we did this past summer?

This summer was like ten summers shoved into one and even though we didn't check off all of the stuff we originally planned to do on the bucket list, this was definitely still the most epic summer stay-cation ever.

Sooo what exactly did we do?

We ate & drank & ate some more...

oysters diablo - raw oysters topped with ceviche & garlic shrimp, smoothered in hot diablo sauce
at one of our favorite koreatown pubs Dan San Sa (aka Kim Jong Il bar)
croque madam from Hatfield's (yellowtail sashimi, prosciutto, sunny side up quail egg & grilled brioche)
Andrew's fav late night dish - fried rice with an egg omelet smothered with gravy (aka "the brain!")
shrimp tacos, ceviche, shrimp cocktail and more tacos!!!
birthday cocktails at Providence
mmmmmm ceviche friday at Tere's.. can't ever have enough ceviche during summer!
pot du chocolate creme & profiteroles at Comme Ça
our arsenal for operation LAtoSingapore - we've already shipped over the tortilla press and masa
part 2 of operation LAtoSingapore... our attempt at pupusas

We listened to live music and danced, danced, danced...
free Sebastien Tellier & Poolside show at some random downtown LA club that Prince supposedly used to own
at Drai's for The Twelves
Little Dragon at dusk - Los Angeles State Historic Park
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at the Greek Theatre
Hot Chip & Passion Pit at the Hollywood Bowl
free live music at the Hammer Museum - part of the first Los Angeles biennial MADE IN LA

We pretended to be tourists...
ate some delish Cuban sandwiches before the Conan show taping
Go team Coco!
Go Dodgers!
los angeles natural history museum
my adorable nephew & niece playing "we're stuck in the mud! save us!" at the natural history museum

He said goodbye to his glasses...
Andrew during his lasik surgery

And last but not least, we enjoyed the perfect LA weather and just chilled...
perfect beach day at leo carrillo state beach
Ralph knows how to relax with his tecate

Phew... I'm tired just looking at all these pics and we didn't even take pics of everything! A BIG THANK YOU to all our friends and family who were involved in all the summer fun... apologies for any casualties we may have inadvertently caused.
